Service Description

This is a fun, hands-on introduction to Biomes! This class will use science, geography, art and a little bit of math explore what biomes are and 6 crucial types of biomes that we can find here on earth and in everyone's favorite sandbox game. We will cover grasslands, rainforest, taiga, desert, tundra and freshwater ecosystems. This course will cover plants and animals within each biome and what makes each one unique! We will also spend a little time learning about how humans have adapted to each environment. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore a new learning opportunity and make new friends! Pre-Requisites: This class is intended for children in 3rd-7th grade. Some writing and reading ability is needed. We will incorporate a little bit of research into each class period. Fees: This class will meet for six sessions. Each lesson will build upon itself. Class fees are $100 per student with a 10% sibling discount available. A deposit is due upon sign up with the quarter fee is due September 1. If you need a different payment schedule please reach out to us at shoalseer@gmail.com. We have a drop off Wednesday Enrichment block from 11am-2pm that you can register for here that includes this class and our "Hands on American History" class. This is a drop off class.
