Tinker and Circuits class

Service Description

This is a fun, hands-on introduction to circuits, machine learning, and basic principles of robotics. It will cover Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering, Energy, Circuits, Art, ELA and Math. We are going to build battle bots while learning about circuits, create a working miniature windmill, learn about motors while creating a moving motorcycle, and so much more! This is a wonderful opportunity to explore a new learning opportunity and make new friends! Pre-Requisites: This class is intended for children in 3rd-7th grade. Some writing and reading ability is needed. We will draw out circuit schematics and use our knowledge to make electrical connections and small robotics projects. Our final project is a working car. Fees: This class will meet for six sessions. Each lesson will build upon itself. Class fees are $100 per student with a 30% sibling discount available. The full fee is due when you register for this class. If you need a different payment schedule please reach out to us at jessie@shoalseer.org. If you need to register a second child please reach out to us directly via email. We have a drop off Wednesday Enrichment block from 10am-1pm that you can register for here that includes this class and our "Hands on American History" class. This is a drop off class. We are a small business and we have maximized our class space which means we only have a small space for parents to wait, but you are welcome to utilize it if you prefer! Maximum class size is 14 students. *All class fees are non refundable once the class has started. All deposits are non refundable once paid*

Cancellation Policy

All camp or class sessions are non-refundable. If you contact us at least 24hrs in advance some sessions can be transferable if space is available.
