Service Description

2026–2027 Theme: Think Like a Scientist – Discover the World of Chemistry! In Science Club, students will learn how to answer questions by using the scientific method through exciting, hands-on experiments and activities. Throughout the year, our young scientists will explore the fascinating world of chemistry—the science of matter and how substances interact, change, and form new materials. Each meeting will include engaging experiments such as observing chemical reactions, exploring the properties of matter, building simple models of atoms and molecules, and using basic lab tools like microscopes and measuring equipment. Students will also take part in STEM challenges and investigation-based activities inspired by their own scientific questions. This club is designed to spark curiosity and develop a love for science while introducing foundational chemistry concepts in a way that is fun, visual, and interactive for young learners. At every meeting, students will: Conduct hands-on chemistry experiments Practice the steps of the scientific method Explore important chemistry concepts such as atoms, molecules, reactions, and energy changes Participate in science games and collaborative challenges Develop skills in observation, problem solving, and critical thinking Our goal is to introduce students to the exciting field of chemistry while encouraging them to think carefully about each step of scientific discovery. We want our young scientists to grow into innovators, problem solvers, and curious thinkers who are confident exploring how the world works. Ages: 5-12 years old Time: Every other Friday at 4:00PM Fees: A $35 supply fee and the first month's club dues are due at sign up and is not refundable. You will receive an invoice via email for the monthly fee starting on July 22, 2026. The monthly fee for Science Club is $40 per child. The fee schedule runs from July 2026 to April 2027. Science Club registration is for the entire school year and covers your child's participation in Science Club, Science Fair. Early withdrawal is only allowed under special circumstances. To sign up just fill out the booking form and pay your supply fee/deposit plus your first month's club dues. You'll get a confirmation email with further details when you sign up including details about Orientation. **There will be a release form to sign! You can sign it in person or print and sign the copy that will be emailed to you** This class has an 8 student max.
