Tinker Club - Fall 2026

Service Description

Tinker Club is a hands-on STEM class where young makers explore how things work through building, experimenting, and creative problem-solving. Students will discover the basics of electricity by creating simple circuits, building a working flashlight, learning about open and closed circuits, and using voltmeters to explore what voltage is. They'll bring science to life with squishy circuits, design and build a handheld fan, and create fun critter bots that move on their own. Along the way, students will also investigate simple machines and learn how everyday tools make work easier. Through engaging projects and guided exploration, children develop critical thinking, engineering skills, creativity, and confidence as inventors and innovators. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore a new learning opportunity and make new friends! Pre-Requisites: This class is intended for children in 5-8yrs old or K-3rd grade. Some writing and reading ability is needed. We will draw out circuit schematics and use our knowledge to make electrical connections and small robotics projects. Each week we meet will build on itself adn we will work on projects over multiple weeks. Fees: This class will meet for eight sessions. Each lesson will build upon itself. Club fees are $150 per student with a 30% sibling discount available. The $50 non-refundable deposit is due when you register for this club, then the rest of the fee is due September 1. If you need to register a second child after you have registered the first please reach out to us directly via email. This is primarily intended to be a drop off club. We are a small business and we have maximized our class space which means we only have a small space for parents to wait, but you are welcome to utilize it if you prefer!
