About this unit
This early elementary grade unit study will help your children to learn a little about Martin Luther King Jr. There are so many resources out there for expanding your learning about MLK and the civil rights movement. Please use this unit as a jumping off point for a much broader study of this important topic. You and your child(ren) or students will learn about Martin's life, what segregation meant and there are a few worksheets to get your started.
 
I have suggested several books for your studies and there are many more resources out on the internet. You can also find many educational videos and resources out there for free.
 
I've provided some worksheets in black and white and color along with some copy work and a letter M page depending on the needs of your learner. Martin Luther King Jr was born into a world very different from the world he left behind for us.
