About this unit
______________
This PreK or early elementary grade unit study will help your children to learn about pumpkins! It includes some information about the pumpkin plant, a lifecycle activity, diagrams, and more. A trip to the library, a pumpkin patch or a farmers market will greatly enhance this unit study. Taking such a trip and looking at all the different specimens of pumpkin in person is really helpful to understanding.
I have suggested several books for your studies and there are many more resources out on the internet.
Along with the worksheets provided, I've suggested a few projects, All about my pumpkin activity, Science experiments that we enjoy, and some vocabulary words. I've also provided some copy work and a letter P page depending on the needs of your learner. If you use this unit and enjoy it, please come back and review it or check out some of the other Unit studies available.
It will take about one week to complete this unit – but it can easily be stretched into 2 weeks if you would like to keep your learning going or condense this down into fewer days for an intensified experience. The suggested schedule is for one week.
