Circle of Life Cycles: Cicada - Extended

This fun class is geared toward children ages 3yrs and up and will feature science, art, and hands on activities to learn about the life cycle of the Cicada. We will focus on a couple of different species that you can find locally and broadly look at the species as a whole. Join us for a fun, hands-on class all about cicada and the Southern Grass Cicada in particular! Kids will explore the life cycle of these loud annual visitors which have fascinated kids for years. During our Life Cycle classes we always create a life cycle poster and explore the science of each creature through demonstration and experiment. We will explore different specimens and learn about their defining characteristics as well. To register for our February Extended Life Cycle class please fill out the form below. Parents are welcome to stay and wait in our waiting room or drop off. Spaces are limited. The cost is $35. All materials are included. Contact us for more information or with any questions! Drop off starts at 8:45am and pick up is from 11:45am-12:00pm. Life Cycle classes will be offered once a month and the class fees are non refundable and non transferable. Our philosophy is that children learn best through hands on, play based experiences and we want to nurture a spirit of play within each child!
