Service Description
This is a fun, hands-on introduction to the important ecosystem of the rainforest! This class will use science, geography, art and a little bit of history to explore this ecosystem are and 6 crucial aspects that we can find in rainforests! Our tentative plan will be: January 20 - Week 1: Overview of the Rainforest January 27 - Week 2: Layers of Life February 3 - Week 3: Rainforest Animals February 10 - Week 4: Rainforest Plants February 17 - Week 5: People of the Rainforest February 24 - Week 6: Protecting the Rainforest This is a wonderful opportunity to explore a new learning opportunity and make new friends! Pre-Requisites: This class is intended for children in 4-8yrs old.No writing or reading ability is needed. Fees: This class will meet for six sessions. Each lesson will build upon itself. Class fees are $100 per student with a 10% sibling discount available. A deposit is due upon sign up with the quarter fee is due January 10. If you need a different payment schedule please reach out to us at jessie@shoalseer.org We have a drop off Tuesday Enrichment block from 10am-1pm that you can register for here that includes this class and our "Mythical Creatures" class. Children registered for both morning classes are welcome to stay for our lunch hour from 12-1pm. Jr. Explorer follows the morning class block from 1-3pm. This is a drop off class. We are a small business and we have maximized our class space which means we only have a small space for parents to wait, but you are welcome to utilize it if you prefer! Maximum class size is 16 students. *All class fees are non refundable once the class has started. All deposits are non refundable once paid*
