Science Club for Spring 2026

Service Description

Each meeting of Science Club we want to learn how to answer questions using the scientific method through hands-on experiments and activities like how to use a simple scanning microscope, STEM challenges, chemical reactions and whatever questions our science club comes up with! This group will be tailored to the individual members. Our theme for the 2025-26 school year is "Think like a scientist!" At each Science Club meeting we perform experiments and learn about scientific discoveries through hands on projects. We also make time for science game and fun club building activities. Our goal is to expose students to science topics and scientific practices while challenging them to think about each step of the process and teach them how to find the answers to their questions. Our young scientists will need to be innovators, problem solvers and use critical thinking skills. When: Science Club will meet on select Fridays and is for kids 9-14yrs old from 10:45am-12:00pm. Feb 13 - Why does salt disappear in water? February 27 - Why does cotton candy dissolve? March 6 - How do magnets work?2 March 20 - Why does rust happen? April 3 - How do crops grow? April 17 - Can you cook with the sun? May 1 - How did Dinosaurs make eggs? May 15 - Science Fair and Awards Day! Fees: The monthly fee for Science Club is $40 per child. You get a small discount for signing up for the whole semester. The Semester fee is $225. The fee schedule runs from August 2025 to April 2026. Science Club registration covers your child's participation in Science Club and a Science Fair in May. To sign up just fill out the booking form and pay your fee. A desposit is due today. The total fee is due January 5. **There will be a release form to sign! You can sign it in person or print and sign the copy that will be emailed to you**
